Handweavers Guild of America Founded in 1969 to inspire creativity and encourage excellence in the fiber arts, the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc., brings together weavers, spinners, dyers, basketmakers, fiber artists and educators. HGA provides educational programs, conferences, and an award-winning quarterly publication, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot, to its members as it seeks to increase awareness of and appreciation for the fiber arts.
Michigan League of Handweavers The Michigan League of Handweavers (MLH) was founded in 1959 to promote handweaving. The League welcomes anyone interested in handweaving or the many related aspects of fiber art and craft. The League provides opportunities for members to come together to learn and to exchange ideas by sponsoring lectures, workshops, conferences and exhibits. As a non-profit, educational organization, we also provide seed money for events around the state sponsored by member guilds.
Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Guild The Ann Arbor Fiberarts Guild was organized in 1956 to enable weavers to meet and exchange ideas and to learn about weaving through lectures, demonstrations, and workshops. The membership's interests have expanded to include surface design, basket making, bead weaving, quilting, knitting, spinning, felting and dollmaking.
