REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

We are now accepting registrations for the Guild's sponsored workshop on Felted Flowers with Lana Socia. The workshop is scheduled for February 21, 2009. There will be two sessions 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. The workshops will be held at Lana's studio at 6523 Oak Grove Road. The cost of the workshop is $25.00. This includes all materials. The registration fee is due at the time of registration and payable to the Guild. Space is limited to 8 each session and is available on a first paid, first served basis. Mail the form and the check to Cheri Skomra, 451 Penninsula Lake Drive, Highland, MI 48357. Cheri will be at the Holiday Sale to collect registrations if space is still available at that time.

Coming in May...Shibori Workshop

An in-depth Shibri workshop is scheduled for May, 2009. It will be tought by Debbie Cooper who is a nationally published Dye and Creative Clothing expert and is one of the select few to have received the certificate of Excellence in Dyeing from the Handweaver's Guild of America. She has been invited both in 2008 and 2009 to the Invitational Wearable Art Expo Cruise on the Princess Lines Cruise Ships. Techniques involved, but not exclusively are stitch, pole and clamp shibori. All materials will be provided and each participant will receive a blank Silk scarf to work on.
