Workshops
The Black Sheep Weavers Fiber Guild offers an array of workshops throughout the year to enhance your fiber art skills.  Details about each workshop are listed below.
 To Register:
You may register for any workshop at monthly Guild meetings.  To register you must fill out a form for each workshop and attach check.  Please date check 3 days before workshop date.  Registration is first come, first serve.  You are not registered until the workshop coordinator has your registration form and payment in hand.  Registration forms will be available at the meeting and downloadable from the website.  If you are unable to attend the meeting and wish to register, please mail your registration form and check (payable to BSWFG) and mail it to:

Workshop Policy:

  • If workshop minimum size is not met, your check will be returned.
  • If workshop is not filled four weeks before workshop date, the workshop will be opened to non-Guild members with a $10 non guild member fee added to workshop fee.
  • A waiting list will be maintained if the workshop fills. 
  • Should you need to cancel your registration and your spot can be filled, you will receive a full refund.  Other situations will be handled in a reasonable manner on a case by case basis.


March BSWFG Workshop
Learn Color Work Knitting with Beth!

Description: Participants will learn how to cast on properly as well as how to read color charts to produce any one of the following:  cowl, scarf, ear warmer, mitts. You can select the project you like! Beth will guide the participants and help them complete their projects.
Supply List: Participants will need two smooth (not art/bumpy yarn) well contrasted yarns and circular or a set of double point needles in suitable size for their yarn and working in the round the size for their desired project. Beth will bring print outs of gridded patterns for working in double knitting/color work. But people are welcome to bring any two color gridded design they would like to do. Please Note: this will only be worked in 2 colors - a background and a foreground. (Reversed on the opposite side). We will start with a double color long tail cast on (no worries, you never run out of yarn on this one!). 
Skill level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate (someone who can knit and needs minimal direction in the basics)
